Yoga for Aged Paralysis patients
Yoga is believed to act as a connection between the brain and body. Paralysis is a disease that is caused due to disconnection of brain from the body. Yoga has been practiced since centuries to improve physical and mental health. In latest studies it is found that Yoga not only increases confidence in aged paralysis patients but also helps to improve control over body and prevents falling down. Scientist has done research on whether Yoga, which protects the physical and mental balance, will be helpful to the aged Paralysis patients. For this aged persons with an average age of 66 years were selected. Special Yoga classes of one hour duration were prepared. Aged Paralysis patients that were selected were given training twice a week. After eight weeks there was improvement in balancing the body in 17 – 34% patients. Yoga has also improved self confidence in them.
